The Vibration of the Wish Fulfilled 4… 68 Seconds Of Pure Thought

Remember this diagram, from the other day?

Well… we can use that to understand another of the mysteries of successful manifestation

Abraham and the 68 Second Rule

According to Esther Hicks’ guide, Abraham, if an individual is able to hold on to a thought + emotion, for 68 seconds… then the Universe will and must respond in kind… and send the vibration back to you in some way…

And if you are able to hold on to that vibration, over and over again, for more then 68 seconds… then eventually the forms in your life… your relationships… will start to align with that new vibration… (although, remember, that will be the same if the vibration is positive and uplifting… or negative and limiting… the 68 rule works both ways).

And I think this is something which Patanjali, the paramount enlightened master within the Yoga tradition, was also referring to in his Yoga Sutras… around 5,000 years ago…

Dharana, concentration, is confining the mind to the object being meditated on.

Dhyan, contemplation, is the uninterrupted flow of the mind to the object.

Samadhi, is when the mind becomes one with the object.

The three taken together – Dharana, Dhyan, and Samadhi – constitute Samyama.

By mastering it, the light of higher consciousness.

The problem is… that when we read those words… we do so from the perspective of the Mental Body

We Humans are such thought creatures… that our natural inclination is to turn everything, initially, towards a thought process

Because… to be honest… it’s all that many of us know… we literally think our world, and thinking is our world.

And we literally can’t conceive of how someone could survive without thinking… to support them, to help them survive.

And because we associate the Mental Body with thinking… then we also assume that someone like Patanjali must be referring to some kind of thinking

Maybe a special kind of thinking… one we haven’t heard of… yet… but thinking nonetheless…

But I would like us to be really open-minded here… and consider the possibility that something else is going on

OK… Patanjali is using words like… concentrationcontemplationmind

So we naturally assume he is talking about ways to use and apply the Mind… because, on a day-to-day basis, we don’t tend to meet many enlightened masters… individuals who exist in a state of No-Mind.

But what if… those are the only words, in English, that the translator could find to match the Sanskrit words in the text…

For example… other translators use one-pointed focus for Dharanaflow of consciousness for Dhyan… and Union or Merging for Samadhi… all of which sound very un-Mind like.

And the reason why I am raising all this in a discussion on manifestation is the sutra where Patanjali states…

Ekagrata parinam, one-pointed transformation is the condition of the mind that is subsiding, is replaced in the next moment by an exactly similar object.

Or… in other words… you want to be happy 24/7… or exist in a state of Unconditional Love or Blisseasy… there is a state of consciousness… which Patanjali calls Ekagrata parinamwhere you can re-create the same experience… the same feeling state, over and over again

But that doesn’t sound like anything our normal Mind can do…

And to be honest… it isn’t…

If we return to our Vibration of the Wish Fulfilled diagram again…

We can see that all the Waves… which link to the infinite and eternal states… which you would need to plug into if you were going to make your experience repeat, over and over again, moment to moment… they all sit up on the Spiritual Level… and above the Mental Level

So their relationship to the Mind… is a bit like a child looking up at the jet planes, flying across the blue sky, 5 miles above their head…

For an individual to reach up to them… then their consciousness will need to let-go of the Mind… in order to rise above the Mental level… and access these Waves directly… in a state of No-Mindbeyond thought

OR…

The other possibility…

And a lesser Ekagrata parinam perhaps…

Is to bring the Wave down, from the Spiritual Level, down into the Mental Level… and down further… down to the Emotional and Physical levels

Allow it to be locked in placed… and observed that way.

That is the second possibility… via grounding it into our Physical Body.

Which brings us back to…

Abraham and the 68 Second Rule

Where, according to Esther Hicks’ guide, Abraham, if an individual is able to hold on to a thought + emotion, for 68 seconds… then the Universe will and must respond in kind… and send the vibration back to you in some way…

And if you are able to hold on to that vibration, over and over again, for more then 68 seconds… then eventually the forms in your life… your relationships… will start to align with that new vibration

But the important thing is… I don’t think it happens through forcing your Mind to think the same thing, over and over again, for more then 68 seconds…

That is too forced, too strained… and the Universe doesn’t tend to respond well to those energy set-ups… and if it does, it will only be to send more tension that person’s way.

No, I believe the 68 seconds works, the Universe responds best, only when you are in the Flow… and your holding of the thought / emotion… that which you wish to manifest… is effortless.

And natural… and flowing

And best anchored into the physical body… so that it becomes a very grounded and physical experience.

And the Universe responds with an energy which is effortless and natural and flowing… and grounded.

And then, later, any forms which manifest out of this energy… are also effortless and natural and flowing… and grounded.

Which is also why, trying to manifest when in desperate need is hard to impossible… because it undermines that sense of Flow… and is often a very un-grounded mental and emotional space as well.

So instead of people timing their manifestation effort…

59 seconds… 60 seconds… 61 seconds… damn… forgot… start again… 1 second… 2 seconds… 3 seconds…

Which is also very Catch-22… because how can you count and also focus totally on your thought + feeling at the same time?

I believe…

The real aim is to achieve a state of Flow… where you forget all sense of time… and the 68 seconds just flies by… as do the next 10 minutes plus…

Which according to Patanjali is very Samadhi… even if it is experienced in the body.

And, paradoxically, it is a lot easier to achieve.
