Love & Pressure

Now, you probably read the title of this post, thinking…

Oh… this is all about the pressure which Love puts you under… the pressure which we all put ourselves under in our eternal search for Love.

And if you thought that… then you are kind of right… but also more wrong as well.

Because the pressure I am referring to is coming from a totally different place entirely… and this pressure is literally woven into the fabric of our Universe.

Let me explain.

A couple of years ago, when I was explaining to a student of mine how, according to David R. Hawkins, only Unconditional Love (and upwards on his Map of Consciousness) has the power to permanently resolve our inner issues…

Because Love on its own will only put our issues on hold, while we are experiencing Love… but Love cannot permanently disentangle or clear them for us, it lacks the vibrational muscle to do that… and when we fall out of Love… then all those issues will come flooding back once again…

Only Unconditional Love has the power to fully free us

In response to my highly crafted words… this student asked:

OK, but how does that work, exactly? What’s so special about Unconditional Love?

And to be honest, I didn’t know… and at that time I couldn’t answer her question… I had to reply with one of those:

I don’t know… at the moment… I am still working on that one… I’ll get back to you…

But now… I think I do have a much better idea of how it all works… and so going to answer that question… or attempt to.

Let’s see how it goes… and I will be using this image of a leaking bucket to do so.

So… in the Lightbody teaching tradition, the Human Aura is described as being comprised of different layers, which can expand or contract, depending upon the mood of the individual. When the individual is happy and feels safe, then the aura is at its most expansive, and energy can easily flow throughout each section and layer of the aura.

However, when we are upset, angry or fearful… our aura contracts in… as a defensive measure… with the different layers closing up… very, very tightly.

Now, once the danger has receded, then the aura can expand outwards once again, and the individual can return to a state of happiness and emotional flow.

However, there is a potential design flaw within our aura. When the different levels pull inwards, there is the possibility that they can become entangled, especially the emotional and mental layers, and so find it hard to separate out again and expand. If these levels are unable to separate and return to their expansive state, then they will effectively warp the aura, and also carry the memory of danger / trauma forwards on an energy level. In addition, energy cannot flow as easily within a warped aura, and so this has a knock effect on our physical, emotional and mental health.

But then the next problem this individual faces is that these areas become weak spots, or fault lines in their aura, which an energy vampire could use to punch through their external defenses. It is usually these areas of weakness that an energy vampire exploits when trying to punch through a cord or hook to the inner levels. Because these locations also have a locked in negative emotion attached to them, it is very easy for someone else to trigger them through pushing that person’s emotional buttons.

But most importantly… these knots or distortions in our aura is where and how we energetically record our issues within our subtle bodies… where the layers become entangled… and this also influences the flow of energy in our Chakras and Meridians.

So if we are going to successfully clear / release these energy knots… we need to return our aura to a state of easy expansion and flow.

But also… we need to input into our aura enough energy and flow to kick start the healing process… sufficient energy to dis-entangle the knots.

And, basically, regardless of form, that’s what energy healing is all about.

Now… In his book Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behaviour, David R. Hawkins outlines what can best be described as a vibrational Map of Consciousness, which has been derived through the application of kinesiology and muscle-testing calibrations.

Basically, this Map of Consciousness states that there are different levels of consciousness, that each level is associated with different qualities, and that as an individual aligns to higher and higher levels, not only do the qualities they can access and experience change, but the amount of energy available also increases. This Map is believed to be Universal, and is said to provide an explanation for all human activity, but most especially in the field of personal and spiritual development.

According to Hawkins:

The ways the various levels of human consciousness express themselves are profound and far-reaching; their effects are both gross and subtle. All levels below 200 are destructive of life in both the individual and society at large; all levels above 200 are constructive expressions of power. The decisive level of 200 is the fulcrum that divides the general areas of force and power.

In describing the emotional correlates of the energy fields of consciousness, keep in mind that they’re rarely manifesting as pure states in an individual.

The Map of Consciousness which Hawkins discovered (with the help of others), is shown in the table below (although I have had to reduce the number of columns, and also included the two boundary lines as aids to our discussion).

According to Hawkins, any level of consciousness below Boundary 1, below Level 200, belongs to the world of force, and is destructive of life. Anything above Boundary 1, and Level 200, belongs to the world of power, and is supportive of life.

Personally, I choose to explain it a little differently.

Let us assume you have £1000, and you give a friend a loan of £100, expecting them to return it to you after a week. After the week is up, your friend gives you an envelope with the money, but it only contains £90 because that is all they can afford to repay.

If this cycle were to go on, week after week, with your lending £100, and only getting back £90, then eventually you would go broke yourself, because you would have run out of money to loan, your £1000 would have dwindled down to nothing.

I believe this is a very apt description for all the levels of consciousness below 200. They require more of your personal energy to create than you get back in terms of positive energy. In direct contrast, all the levels above 200 require less energy to create in comparison to the amount of energy you receive back from them. They’re the equivalent of lending out £100 and getting £110, or more, in return a week later.

So when you are experiencing a state of fear, it means your body is using up more energy to create the fear feeling than it is giving back to you, however when you experience love, then your body gets much more energy back from the feeling than it takes to create.

It’s basically a question of energy economics.

Either side of the magic Level 200, the lower down the table your consciousness is the less and less feedback energy is available to you. Whereas the higher up the table your consciousness progresses the more of an abundance of energy is available to you.

If you look at it from this perspective, fear and anger are not wrong or evil, and they can serve a useful purpose (i.e. they are designed to protect us). However, because they take up more energy to create than you get back, they should only ever be considered temporary states, and you definitely don’t want to live there. If you are in a constant state of fear or anger, then this means in terms of energy economics, you are continually burning up your energy reserves for little or no return. OK, they may allow you to run away, or fight if necessary, but they do so at a price, they diminish your energy reserves. Whereas, if you can sustain a state of love, then it feels like you are being constantly filled with energy, and the world is a bright and wonderful place to live.

But this now leads us neatly to the whole Love / Unconditional Love issue… and our image of the leaking water bucket… and the whole pressure thing…

In normal down-to-earth physics… if you fill up a bucket with holes in it… with water… the water will come out most forcefully down the bottom of the bucket…

Because that is where the water pressure is greater… greatest

All the water above, pushes down, and so at the bottom of the bucket is where the pressure is the greatest… and the water rushes out of the bucket with the greatest force

So… bringing this concept of pressure across to Hawkins’ Map of Consciousness

The higher up the Map we go… the higher the level of energy available… and also, the more pressure is exerted down onto the lower levels from the higher energy above…

Human Beings are not normally aware of this… we’re somewhat like fish who live at the bottom of the Ocean… we’re so adapted to the intense pressure from above… that we don’t notice it…

And I have a weird feeling the Universe goes out of its way to protect us as well.

Until we consciously choose to plug into those higher levels… at which point it automatically means that those higher levels will want to express themselves through us…

Bit like pouring water into a bucket with holes in it… the water isn’t going to stay put… it wants to flow out… and the more water you pour in… the more the pressure will build… and the more the water will emerge with greater force.

So Unconditional Love is higher then Love… and so exerts more pressure… but Joy is higher still… and will exert more pressure then Unconditional Love… and Peace is even higher… etc… etc…

And if we swap our bucket with holes… with a Human Being

And then also say that any of the levels on the Map can be expressed out through a Human Being… in a way similar to water flowing out through a leaking bucket…

The lowest levels…

Shame… Guilt… Apathy… Grief… Fear… Desire… Anger… Pride…

OK… when we express anything below Level 200, it has little energy… so we end up using our core energy to tune in… and so this ends up dis-empowering us…

Next…

Courage… Neutral… Willingness… Acceptance… Reason…

Better… when we express anything between Level 200 and Level 500… it has energy… it feeds us… but it lacks sufficient energy to clear and release the blocks and knots in our aura

Next…

Love… Unconditional Love… Joy… Peace… and upwards…

Best… with Level 500 and higher… all these have the power to make us feel better… and kick-start our spiritual evolution…

Love at Level 500 puts all our issues on hold…

But… with Unconditional Love and higher… there is the power to release the blocks and knots in our aura

And heal our Earthly hurts and suffering.

But there is a problem…

The higher up the Map we tune our consciousness… the higher Level we are expressing… and the more power and force we are plugging into…

And just like water flowing into a bucket with holes in it…

The higher up the Map we go… the greater the pressure pressing down from the Higher Dimensions on the Human Self

With Unconditional Love… the 1st level which can make a real difference in our life… it is quite gentle… takes longer, true, to clear all our blocks… but isn’t too overwhelming…

Let’s say Unconditional Love is… the slow and steady path..

Most people can handle the pressure of Unconditional Love.

But then when you venture up to the level and expression of JoyBlissPeace

The higher up the spiritual levels… the more the pressure builds within us down here… and the more power / pressure wants to be expressed through the individual physical self…

Which is also why some of the higher spiritual levels are described as being very painful for the physical body… because the amount of energy which is pouring down and through… the intensity of internal pressure… can be immense… and can can be very painful to experience and deal with…

Especially if the person isn’t ready…

BuddhaKrishnamurtiOsho… have all described the impact of this spiritual pressure as it starts to be expressed through the physical body and individual self…

So sometimes… the slower route to change… Unconditional Love… may indeed be the better route for some… for many…

OK… it may take longer… but is more gentle… and may be the safer route to take.

Back in the late 1980s, I was fortunate enough to meet the late Irene Tweedie… author of the book Chasm of Fire  (later expanded into Daughter of Fire)… which recorded her years as a spiritual apprentice to her Sufi Master… a Master in the Golden Sufi linege… before becoming a Master in her own right.

And after she said Yes to becoming his student… she under underwent many nights, awake, as a golden energy swept through her aura… literally burning away her negative karma… and leaving her in a state of intense, blissful agony while it did so…

Because she had given her permission to plug into the higher vibrations… to speed up her spiritual progress… so that she could also be of service to others… so her Master plugged her into the higher levels of the Map of Consciousness

But that was her choice, and it came with a price… which is why her Master did ask the question… are you sure you want this?

As it suggests in the old Fable of the Tortoise and the Harethe fastest is not always the best route to take… or the one which wins the race.

But one of the problems with the modern Western spiritual approach… where it is all about ascension… and spiritual materialism… people are grasping for the highest available… because their Ego assumes that this will make them more spiritual then others.

But sometimes the highest isn’t the best…

Often the highest is the most dangerous if people are inexperienced, on their own, and don’t know what they are doing…

And for some people, who do get to plug into the higher levels of Being… and have to live with the consequences of expressing that high vibration energy, it’s a case of…

Be careful what you wish for… because you may get it.

Sometimes the route of Unconditional Love really is the best route to take… slow… but steady… and whoever said we were in a race?

That is one of the most accurate expressions I have read on that topic, well done and thank you.
