Issues & Ownership… Issues 10

Just imagine… you are walking along a street… and someone comes up to you, very upset, shouting….

Someone has stolen my bike!

And although you are concerned for this person… you are not terribly upset yourself.

Why is this?

Easy… because it is not your bike that has been stolen.

If your bike had been stolen, then yes, you would be very, very upset… and angry… but because it isn’t your bike… the theft doesn’t shake you to the very core.

It’s a case of there but for the Grace of God go I… and you carry on with the rest of your day.

Because it wasn’t your bike that was stolen.

You see… what makes our issues painful, in the final analysis, is that inside our head, we own them… we identify with them.

They are close to home.

Ownership is the key.

That’s what charities… looking for you to make a donation… or even better, a monthly subscription… hope for… that you will start to identify with their cause… that you will come to own it.

Issues are only issues because we own and identify with them.

And sometimes… if we are able to re-arrange our mental furniture… or our brain does a major upgrade… or downgrade… then our issues just seem to fade away…

Not in the sense of vanishing from our life maybe… but that we no longer care about them… they lose emotional power over us.

Because we are no longer owning them inside our head.

The relationship… the connection… is broken.

I would say 99% of our issues are made even worse because we over-own them in our head.

Many people are afraid of getting old because of what it might do to their Minds…

But the thing is… the odd thing… and this often isn’t mentioned much… when people slowly lose their Minds… the Mind they have become used too… and which all the people around them has become used to… it isn’t just about losing the keys… or forgetting faces… which can be upsetting for them… and the face they have forgotten…

They can also start to forget their issues… forget painful memories, which used to plague them constantly…

And there can be an unexpected freedom that comes through this forgetting.

There can be an upside to something like dementia… when the painful past is forgotten, then the person can also find an odd sort of freedom… and peace.

A lot of the stuff they used to worry about… just goes… no longer important because it’s not on their mental radar anymore.

Can and does happen… seen it.

Because when these people forget, they are no longer owning their issues… and so their issues lose power over them.

Now, from the outside, us normal people often pity someone in that condition… feel that they have lost something.

But who is better off… the man with their whole Mind suffering… or the man who has a half Mind, and is living a much happier life?

And to be honest… a lot of normal people run to drugs… either legal or non-legal… to find a way to numb the inner pain… to distance themselves from the over-ownership of their issues.

If only there was a way we could have our happiness and a whole Mind… all at once.

Have our mental cake and eat.

Well… there is.

Now, there are 3 paths you can explore… one I would advise… and two I would most definitely not.

First… the path of forgetting… where we forget about our issue in some way… either through suppressing it… or just getting better at forgetting

But when we suppress something… it doesn’t go away… it can burst back into our Conscious Mind at any moment… when we are least prepared…

Forgetting doesn’t really solve anything… it can make us feel better, true… but only through pushing stuff to the back of the metaphysical wardrobe…

And forgetting, overall, can get out of control… and so we can end up, not only forgetting our painful issues… but where we parked the car… or to do our tax return and get it on time… which can make it harder and harder to fit in with the rest of society…

Because the more you use forgetting as a survival strategy… the more you tend to lose conscious control over that strategy… it gets out of control… we start to forget too much, and all the wrong things…

The next strategy… dis-identification

Where we remember the painful memory or issue… but we no longer own it… no longer identify with it

It may no longer push our inner pain button…

OK, can be a better strategy then just forgetting… but also has a major downside…

Dis-identification can make it much harder for someone to fit in with their family, friends and society…

Example… if someone were to say with to you… “That $1000 debt I owe you… I no longer identify with it… I no longer own the issue… so I don’t feel motivated to replay you…” … How would that make you feel… how would you re-act.

Yep, dis-identification can also lead a person to ignore many of the rules which a healthy functioning society relies on… which means they will have problems fitting in… which will eventually catch-up with them…

And, it’s perhaps no surprise, that many a sociopath has problems with identification… or end-up identifying with the wrong thing.

And at the other extreme… individuals who have recently fallen-up into enlightenment… they often go through a period of re-adjustment… where they have to learn to fit in with the rest of their society again… from a new higher perspective, without saying anything which might upset the political and religious folk around them…

And those who don’t… who speak their inner truth too soon… sometimes end up coming to sticky ends… like Mansoor or Jesus… or end-up in a modern psychiatric asylum… silenced for speaking truths which their society finds unsettling… or considers off-limits or dangerous…

Because they no longer identify with the stuff the rest of their society takes very seriously indeed.

Next… if forgetting isn’t a good plan… and neither is dis-identification… what is left?

Distancing

Learning to create distance between you and your painful issues… because often the pain comes through being too close to the issue… and learning to stand back, helps… a lot…

Imagine, you are standing close up to an angry man… and his angry face is right in your face… his anger is all you can see…

Unplesent and uncomfortable…

But then you start to distance yourself from him… take a few steps back… yes, his angry face is still in front of you… but you can start to see other things in the room… pictures on the wall… furniture… your eyes are no longer dominated by his angry face…

Step back some more… 100 metres… 200 metres… the more he starts to grow smaller… the more he starts to diminish…

The more life opens up other possibilities for you…

And the freer you feel…

The less dominated…

And when you are both continents apart… what issue… what were you ever worried about?

Basically, that’s what we need to do in our head… in our Mind…

Learn how to distance ourselves from our issues… pull back… put some space between us and the issue…

OK, that doesn’t automatically mean the issue will get fixed, will become resolved, or vanish…

But it does mean… that the issue will no longer dominate our Consciousness, our Mind… and there is a great chance that the answer we seek may appear… out of the Blue… from the new mental space we create…

Our of the Blue… Blue Sky thinking… thinking out of the box… all sayings which relate to creating more space inside our Mind… so that we no longer feel trapped…

No longer feel trapped inside a tiny mental shoebox with all our crowding issues…

We have inner space… we have mental freedom…

So… Big Question… and how can we do that?

Enough of the talk… How?

OK… OK… I am getting to that now… 🙂

Simple, with Orthorhombic crystals… which are all about expressing the Blue / Blue Sky vibration

Layout 1:

  • Clear Quartz point above the head, pointing up
  • Iolite or Shattuckite on the Brow Chakra
  • Peridot or Prehnite on the Heart Chakra
  • Orange Topaz on the Sacral Chakra
  • Smoky Quartz point between / below the feet, pointing down

The 3 inner crystals are all Blue Vibe Orthorhombic… and so helps us to plug into extra Blue vibration… create inner space… which can help to cool us down… and distance ourselves from unsettling thoughts and feelings.

Layout 2:

Full on Orthorhombic crystal layout, where all the crystals are the correct colour for each of the chakras, but all the crystals are Orthorhombic in structure… which helps us to draw in the Blue structure vibe… helps us to cool down inside… create inner space… and so distance ourselves within from our problematic issues… i.e. same as the last one, but even more so.

  • Between Feet = Black Orthorhombic = Ilvaite
  • Base Chakra =  Red Orthorhombic = Red Thulite
  • Sacral Chakra = Orange Orthorhombic = Orange Topaz
  • Solar Plexus Chakra = Yellow Orthorhombic = Yellow Topaz
  • Heart Chakra = Green Orthorhomic = Peridot or Prehnite
  • Throat Chakra = Blue Orthorhombic = Celestite or Blue Topaz
  • Brow Chakra = Indigo Orthorhombic = Shattuckite or Iolite
  • Crown Chakra = Purple Orthorhomic = Purpurite

Above, using the most easily accessible Orthorhomic crystals I am aware of… but if you have a different coloured Orthorhomic crystal, then please feel free to substitute where appropriate.
